The 32-acre Willow-Wave Park is located in the historic Willow-wave village area, neighboring world heritage site---The Summer Palace. The landscapes of this area were highly praised by Qing-dynasty Emperor Qianlong. It was intended to design a community park for fishing and leisure, by means of speaking to the cultural context, and creating linear waters using existing rectangular fishing ponds. More species of popular trees and other trees and shrubs were added as a signature to the site. The park is frequently visited by village area residents and anglers.
